Porsche looking for engineersAfter the starting shot for the fourth model series

Stuttgart. Since the Management Board and Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, green lighted the development of its four-seater sports coupé, the "Panamera" at the end of July, the Company is now looking for new employees, including more than 100 engineers, for its Stuttgart, Weissach and Ludwigsburg locations. New staff are wanted to fill positions in the areas of drive system, chassis and body development, electrics/electronics, design, purchasing, production and quality planning, project controlling and product management as well as after sales.

However, engineers are not just wanted for the fourth model series, but for all open positions created by the internal relocation of employees to the "Panamera" project team. Harro Harmel, member of the Management Board responsible for Human Resources said: "For our new model series we need a balanced mix of experienced Porsche engineers and experts coming in from the outside to work on a new challenge for a fascinating company." Porsche is to begin filling these vacancies immediately. Overall, the "Panamera" will create around 400 new jobs in Stuttgart, Weissach and Ludwigsburg. The four-seater sports coupé is expected to debut on the market in 2009.
