Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart posted another record for new registrations in Germany in the last financial year 2004/05 (July 31). Overall, a total of 16,926 Porsche vehicles were registered in this period, 10.6 percent more than in the previous year (15,299). Growth was driven by sports cars, the new model generations of which are enjoying extremely strong demand. The largest increase was posted by the Boxster, up 37.9 percent to 3,832 units (previous year: 2,779 units), while the 911 series surged by 10.7 percent to 7,204 vehicles (previous year: 6,509 vehicles). With 5,811 vehicles, the Cayenne almost matched the high level of the previous year (5,872 vehicles). In August 2005 also, the first month of the 2005/06 financial year, Porsche continued its success in Germany. The number of new registrations increased by 10.5 percent to 727 vehicles (previous year: 658 vehicles).

Bernhard Maier, Managing Director at Porsche Deutschland GmbH stated: "We have never had such a high number of new registrations for an August. This makes me confident that we will continue to grow on our home market in the new financial year." The Company is also expecting a further push from the mid-engine Cayman S coupé and the four all-wheel drive variants of the 911 Carrera, which are currently enjoying their world debut at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt and will be available at dealers in Europe from October and November respectively.
