Porsche-Chef again awarded the "Excellence in Leadership" Prize Heinz Goldmann Foundation honors the work of Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking

Stuttgart/Wiesbaden. Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, was again awarded the "Excellence in Leadership" Prize by the Geneva-based Heinz Goldmann Foundation for International Communication. The Porsche CEO has now received the award for the sixth time in succession. The winners are selected by a jury composed of international CEOs.

The communications expert Goldmann presented Wiedeking the award on the occasion of the "Managing Change – Leadership in Times of Economic Turbulence" Congress in Wiesbaden. At the Business Congress on March 11 and 12, 2005, representatives from 40 leading companies discussed their most important management strategies. In his laudation, Goldmann paid respect to the entrepreneurial performance of the Porsche CEO, who has taken the company from one record year to the next.

Speaking with the Porsche CEO, Goldmann tried to get to the heart of the secret of Porsche’s success, covering such issues as systematic customer orientation, the strong innovative ability and the high level of quality at Porsche. The proverbial Swabian industriousness that prevails at the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer was also mentioned. Wiedeking said: "Being comfortable, sitting back and resting on our laurels goes completely against the grain at Porsche. We would rather work hard today to ensure that Porsche is still on track to success tomorrow."
