The second Boxster generation ready for launch in GermanyMore dynamic and more powerful, greater driving pleasure, enhanced active and passive safety

Stuttgart. The new Boxster is on the starting block: This Saturday, November 27, the new roadster will hit the showrooms of all 85 German Porsche centers. Potential buyers will therefore get their first chance to see the Boxster and Boxster S models of the second Boxster generation for themselves. In line with the positioning of the new Boxster as "the sports car among roadsters", the launch theme for the German Porsche centers is "Where sport begins". The Boxster will therefore be presented to the public in a stylized boxing ring at various Porsche centers.

Bernhard Maier, Managing Director of Porsche Deutschland GmbH, has high hopes for the launch: "The new Boxster is more dynamic and powerful, and offers even greater driving pleasure. At the same time, we have increased active and passive safety. We are convinced that the new Boxster will be just as successful as its predecessor." Porsche sold more than 160,000 first generation Boxsters.

The new Boxster is powered by a 176 kW (240 HP) 2.7 liter six-cylinder engine, and has a top speed of 256 km/h. The Boxster S, with a 206 kW (280 HP) 3.2 liter six-cylinder engine, has a top speed of 268 km/h.
