North American Sales Record for Porsche in MarchGrowth for the 911 model line in its most important market

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany has once again succeeded in increasing its sales considerably in North America, which is easily its most important market. In March 2004 the sports car manufacturer delivered 2,818 vehicles to customers in the USA and Canada, 24 percent more than the 2,281 deliveries made in the same month of the previous year. This was Porsche's best result in North America for any month of March in the company's history.

A year after its market launch in North America, the Cayenne's success story continues. In March 2004 there were 1,507 deliveries of this sports all-terrain vehicle to customers, 68 percent more than in March 2003, the Cayenne having been launched in North America only halfway through that month.

With sales of 1,306 units, the sports cars almost equaled the figure for the same month a year previously, when 1,382 were delivered. In March 2004, sales of the Boxster model line in North America were 457 units (down by 23 percent), but deliveries of the 911 model line went up by eight percent to 849 units. As the spring season started, the new Cabriolet versions of the 911 Carrera 4S and 911 Turbo were in strong demand.
