The new 718 Boxster Style Edition and the new 911 Carrera T make their Asia debut at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition The persistence of dreams, keeping the spirit pure

Shanghai/Guangzhou. At the 20th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition – final motorshow of the year in the world’s largest auto market, Porsche presented the Asia debut of the new 718 Boxster Style Edition and the new 911 Carrera T. With the Style Edition, Porsche is offering an exclusive variant for customers who attach particular importance to a striking design for their vehicle. This is particularly evident in the selection of the exterior colour Ruby Star Neo, which provides a modern interpretation of the Ruby Star livery that graced the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera RS of the 964 generation. Also making its debut was the new 911 Carrera T. The “T” stands for “Touring”, and all models bearing this name create the ultimate sporty driving experience thanks to their precise tuning, unique features and lightweight engines. The 911 Carrera T is a sports car reduced to the essentials, with a focus on unfiltered driving pleasure.

The new 718 Style Edition series, exclusive details and extended standard equipment

The Porsche Style Edition models emphasise the spirit of "Extroverted and exclusive" in every detail. In addition to the selection of unique painted options, other individual combinations are available to make the the new variants clearly distinguishable. For example, they drive on 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in high-gloss black, and their wheel hub covers feature coloured Porsche Crests. The Style Edition is also recognisable by its black sport tailpipes and "Porsche" lettering in high-gloss silver on the back. On the 718 Boxster Style Edition, "Boxster" lettering embossed above the side windows is added to the soft top as an exclusive label.

Customers can choose between two 718 Style Edition contrast packages: one in black, the other in white. Both include decorative stripes on the luggage compartment lid at the front and "Porsche" decorative lettering on the side, as well as black and white high-gloss paint finishes for the wheels and model designations at the rear. Inside, the Style Edition models feature a leather package in black including contrast stitching in crayon, illuminated door sill panels in stainless steel and the Porsche Crest on the headrests.

The 718 Style Edition models are also exceptionally well equipped: BiXenon main headlights with LED daytime running lights, leather interior in two-tone combination, ParkAssist front and rear including reversing camera, Power steering Plus, Apple® CarPlay, cruise control, automatically dimming exterior and interior mirrors including rain sensor, heated smooth leather multifunction steering wheel, heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control much more. In addition, the 718 Style Edition models can also be further upgraded with a wide range of options.

The new 911 Carrera T, a thrilling expression of purism

"T" stands for "Touring" in Porsche and has promised a unique and dynamic driving experience since the 1960s. The models bearing this name create the ultimate sporty driving experience thanks to their precise tuning, unique features and lightweight engines.

The new 911 Carrera T slots in between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S. It is a sports car reduced to the essentials, with a focus on unfiltered driving pleasure. The new Carrera T comes with a number of features as standard, including the eight-speed PDK and PASM sports suspension with 10-mm-lowering and reduced insulation. The Carrera T with 283 kW (385 PS) and 450 Newton metres of torque, and which accelerates the sports car from zero to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and to a top speed of 291 km/h, from the entry-level 911. The 911 Carrera T also comes standard with the Sport Chrono package and the PASM sports suspension (-10 mm) – features that only the Carrera T offers in combination with the 385 PS engine.

More noteworthy T-specific equipment features include 20- and 21-inch Titanium Grey Carrera S wheels in front and back, with the GT sports steering wheel, sports exhaust system and Fully electric Sports seats (14-way, electric) incl. memory package, all fitted as standard. Weighing just 1,531 kg, the 911 Carrera T is the lightest series production 911 with the entry-level engine. Added to all this, the reduced insulation, lightweight glass and a lightweight battery shave off even more weight. Of course, there are more exclusive details, such as the exterior mirrors, door and rear logos, as well as the trim strips on the rear lid grille coming in dark grey to give the car a more extroverted and dynamic look. These exclusive logos and more sporty touches inside all highlight its unique and pure positioning.
