Dongguan – the world factory – welcomes its third Porsche CentrePorsche China deepens presence in South China and continues to enhance dealer network

The Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen held its grand opening on 8 March.

The showroom is designed with Porsche's new concept “Destination Porsche” which allows ten Porsche models to be displayed simultaneously, and comes complete with virtual reality technology that makes it easy for customers to complete the complex configuration of their cars online.

Shanghai/Dongguan. On 8 March 2021, Dongguan welcomed the grand opening of the city's third Porsche Centre – Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen – the first Porsche Centre to be opened in 2021. Located in Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen is a state-of-the-art Porsche city showroom with a diverse selection of facilities. Its opening is not only an important step in Porsche's continued expansion into the Guangdong region, but also another milestone in solidifying Porsche's presence in South China, affirming the high importance that Porsche places on this market. On the day of the grand opening, Mr. David Xiao, Chief Operating Officer of Porsche China; Mr. Michael Ramsey, Vice President Network Management and Development of Porsche China; Mr. Julian Zhu, Director Region South of Porsche China; Mr. Suigang Zhang, Chairman of Deyuan Qingfeng Group Holdings; Mr. Suiming Zhang, Chairman of Qingfeng Auto Group; Mr. Kevin Mung, General Manager of Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen, as well as loyal Porsche customers, Porsche enthusiasts and local media friends, gathered to be the first to witness the excellence of this new Porsche Centre.

The Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen has been built to Porsche's global standards by Qingfeng Auto Group, who have been one of Porsche China's most dedicated collaborative partners for several years.The 2,200 square metre centre can display up to 10 Porsche models simultaneously, aiming to provide Porsche owners and enthusiasts in the local area and beyond with its world-renowned service and customer care. The showroom is designed to fit with Porsche's new concept, Destination Porsche, which combines offline sales with the digital world, creating a seamless new experience for customers to buy a car. The virtual reality technology allows customers to easily configure their cars online, and the touch-screen operation provides a unique interactive experience for customers: whether it is vehicle acceptance, electronic signature, online payment or other digital communication methods, the Centre takes the car buying experience to a new level. In addition, the Porsche Centre Dongguan Humen is staffed by a team of experienced service professionals who are dedicated to providing each customer with a full range of advice and personalised services to create their 'one-of-a-kind' dream car.

The year 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of Porsche's entry into the Chinese mainland, and over the past 20 years, the Porsche brand and sports car culture have grown together with the Chinese market, making mutual achievements and sharing honours. In 2001, we saw China's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). In the same year, Porsche opened its first Porsche Centre on the Chinese mainland. Twenty years on, Porsche now has 134 sales sites across China, while online channels are also being steadily developed. Since 2015, China has been the world's largest single market for Porsche for six consecutive years, and in 2020, Porsche delivered 88,968 cars, up 3% year-on-year. At the same time, the Porsche fan community is growing ever larger. The Porsche Club China is now the fourth largest Porsche owners club in the world. In the future, Porsche will continue to be customer-oriented and bring more quality products, services and sports car culture experiences to Chinese consumers.
