Porsche (China) Motors Limited to recall part of imported Panamera

Commencing from March 22, 2019, Porsche (China) Motors Limited will recall part of imported Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo vehicles manufactured from September 25, 2018 to October 11, 2018. The recall was filed by Porsche China to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Defective Automobile Products Recall Regulation and its implementation measures. The recall will affect a total of 65 vehicles.

The recall is related to a potential issue with a brake line installed between the hydraulic unit and the master cylinder which may corrode over time due to production problems of the parts supplier. It is possible that the filter of the hydraulic unit may be congested by corrosive particles. Under extreme conditions, the breaking performance of the vehicle may be affected, presenting potential safety hazards.

Upon the recall taking effect, Porsche China will commission all authorized Porsche Centres nationwide to replace the related brake system parts free of charge, including the hydraulic unit, brake master cylinder, liquid storage tank, brake pipe, etc., for all vehicles affected by the potential issue.

Porsche China will notify the relevant owners via registered mail. Affected users are encouraged to visit Porsche China's official website http://www.porsche.com/china or call the toll-free customer service centre hotline on 400 820 5911 or authorized Porsche Centres to find out more information about this recall.
