The 8th Porsche Golf Cup China Final Concludes in Lingshui, HainanEnjoying the Fun of Golfing

Shanghai/Lingshui/Stuttgart. On December 1, the 8th Porsche Golf Cup China Final wrapped up successfully in Lingshui, Hainan. As a series of world level amateur golf tournaments, Porsche Golf Cup has attracted numerous passionate enthusiasts and golfers in the past 8 seasons, presenting a series of painstakingly customized exclusive brand experience. With the energetic support of various Porsche Centres in China, Porsche Golf Cup provides like minded Porsche enthusiasts and golfers with an extraordinary platform to network and exchange ideas, and conveys the philosophy of Porsche brand to pursue fashionable sports and create high quality life.

Since its inauguration in 2011, Porsche Golf Cup has kept expanding in scale, with the number of contestants rising year by year. This year is the 8th season, representing a significant milestone for Porsche Golf Cup. “Year 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of Porsche sports cars. We will continue to offer users diverse brand experience beyond their expectations with our brand spirit as guide and with innovation as driver,” said Dr. Ing. Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China. “Golf is one of our major practices to create diverse Porsche experience, and it is perfectly fit with Porsche’s concept in strength, precision and pursuit for technology optimization, which is the original intention for us to host Porsche Golf Cup.”

Since its tee off this April, Porsche China, together with various Porsche Centres, have staged 23 golf contests in 13 cities. Either in Qualification or in Final, all contestants competed passionately on the golf course inspired by the sports spirit of Porsche to indulge themselves in the fascination of golfing.

Based on the Stableford format and New Peoria Handicap system, the contestants played a fantastic game fuelled by ambition, skill, and sportsmanship. The winners of the China Final are: Jian Ciqiang from Porsche Centre Foshan Shunde (Gross); Lin Youxuan from Porsche Centre Guangzhou Tianhe (Net Class A); Fan Xiyan from Porsche Centre Shenzhen Longgang (Net Class B); Pang Jun from Porsche Centre Dongguan Nancheng (Net Class C). They are not only golfers featuring best golfing techniques, but owners perfectly interpreting the brand value of Porsche. The four champions will compete for the title of world champion on behalf of China in Porsche Golf Cup World Final held in Spain in 2019.
