Guangzhou/Shanghai. On 16 November, Porsche presented its full model line-up at the 16th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibitions, showcasing the charm of its ultimate sports cars which have captivated the world for 70 years. Two powerful and effective plug-in hybrid vehicles interpret the "Porsche E-Performance" concept, highlighting Porsche's confidence and strength into the future: The new Cayenne E-Hybrid launched in China not only continues the all-round experience of the third generation Cayenne, but also achieves higher performance with greater efficiency based on the "performance-oriented" hybrid technology; and the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, Porsche's flagship plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, perfectly balances performance with daily usability.

"2018 is set to be an extraordinary year as Porsche celebrates the 70th anniversary of its sportscars, and Porsche China has obtained multiple milestone achievements," said Dr. -Ing. Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China. "These achievements once again demonstrate Porsche's long-term commitment to cultivate the Chinese sports car market and promote the development of sports car culture. We will continue to bring more and better products and services to Chinese customers, as well as striving to create a brand experience beyond the expections of our customers. I believe that Porsche China will reach new heights in 2018."

Porsche E-Performance

Porsche is continuing to move forward into the future with continuous innovation. Since Porsche launched its first hybrid based on the Cayenne in 2010, it has established a "performance-oriented" hybrid and pure electric technology strategy. Through numerous tests on relentless racetracks, Porsche has gained unmeasurable experience and knowledge, allowing it to become the first manufacturer to offer hybrids in three different premium segments. With the unique concept of "Porsche E-Performance", Porsche has set a new benchmark for its standard-production cars, and for the future of mobility.

The "Porsche E-Performance" concept consists of three aspects. The first is the car itself, with the concept of creating a system with the perfect combination of maximum performance and minimal fuel consumption, from the hybrid drive and optimal driving modes to the ergonomic control of vehicle functions. Secondly, in terms of energy, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles must be able to be recharged anytime, anywhere, with convenient equipment and operations. Thidly, in terms of connectivity, Porsche Connect offers services and features that are specific to hybrid vehicles, making it easier for drivers and vehicles to interact, whether it's viewing vehicle information or managing settings.

In the next 10 years, Porsche will continue implementing its three-pronged product strategy, with product portfolios covering optimized combustion engines, plug-in hybrid models and pure electric sports cars. Based on this strategy, Porsche launched the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, which are the first flagship models to have plug-in hybrid technology as its powertrain, demonstrating Porsche's confidence in the "performance-oriented" hybrid technology. The new Cayenne E-Hybrid is the fourth model of the third generation of the Cayenne family, and is also the first hybrid vehicle which aims to further cater to the diverse lifestyles of Chinese customers.
