Porsche (China) Motors Limited to recall part of imported 2019 Cayenne Turbo vehicles

Commencing from August, 17th, 2020, Porsche (China) Motors Limited will recall part of imported 2019 Cayenne Turbo vehicles manufactured from August 2, 2018 to July 4, 2019. The recall was filed by Porsche China to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Defective Automobile Products Recall Regulation and its implementation measures. The recall will affect a total of 199 vehicles in China’s mainland.

For vehicles involved in the recall, due to the production problems of the parts supplier, the quick connector of the fuel line in the engine compartment might occur heat-degradation under high temperatures. In extreme conditions, a fuel leakage might occur and further cause a risk of fire in the presence of an ignition source, posing a safety hazard.

Porsche China will replace the fuel line including the quick connector with a newly designed one free of charge for all vehicles affected to eliminate potential safety hazards.

Emergency measures: Before the recall, if customer perceives a smell of fuel near the engine compartment, the customer should turn off the engine, and leave the vehicle immediately in a roadworthy place and contact the nearest Porsche Centre. After recall taking effect, the customer should also contact with nearest Porsche Centre to replace the fuel line including the quick connector with a newly designed one free of charge.

Porsche China will notify the relevant owners via registered mail. Users are encouraged to visit Porsche China's official website or call the toll-free customer service centre hotline on 400 820 5911 or Porsche authorized dealers to find out more information about this recall.
