Porsche Themed Exhibition: "Dream·Vision" Unveiled at PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai 2019A photographic journey into the past and the future

Shanghai / Stuttgart. As one of the top photography fairs in the Asia Pacific region, the sixth edition of PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai will return to the Shanghai Exhibition Center from September 20 to 22. As a presenting partner, Porsche’s thematic exhibition “Dream • Vision” officially kicked off on September 19. Through a photographic lens, Porsche presents “Dream • Vision” with four statements that have made the brand what it is today: Icon, Design, Passion and Vision. After joining hands with PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai at the beginning of 2017, Porsche has showcased a series of fascinating image journeys at the Fair for three consecutive years.

This year, through the lenses of world-renowned photographers: Irene Kung, Anton Corbijn, Maxime Guyon, etc., Porsche illustrates its timeless vision by paying tribute to the past and generate excitement for the future.

As a special part of the Fair, Porsche presented “A Vision of Infinity” – 2019 Future Life of Sustainability Forum on the Fair for the very first time. The Forum’s invited speakers, who are creative and practical in terms of sustainable development, will discuss the future life of sustainability from the perspectives of business, design and culture, etc.

Classic heritage drives Porsche forward
Born of a dream, Porsche evolved from the racetrack to the road, and it has never stopped moving forward. The 71 year lifespan of Porsche has seen many notable names connected to the brand enter the annals of history. They embrace passion and never cease in their desires to create an infinite future together with Porsche. Porsche sports cars are loyal to the brand’s tradition and are constantly making technological breakthroughs, showing the marque‘s unique brand identity.

The attraction to an icon is universal, regardless of language, culture or any other differences. That is precisely why so many familiar faces who have been fascinated by Porsche could be found over the years, including: cultural icon Steve McQueen, legendary female racer Annie Bousquet and trend-setting comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

Continuous innovation links tradition to the future
Vision has always be synonymous with Porsche as it strives to turn dreams into reality. The very first hybrid car was a Porsche and was introduced to the world in 1900, and this year marks both the launch of the all-electric Taycan and Porsche’s entry into Formula E. Stepping out of its comfort zone and taking on a new challenge is intrinsic to the Porsche brand, because it takes the heart of a winner to start from zero and make it to first place.

"Porsche has a long history as a world-renowned sports car brand for more than 70 years," said Dr. Ing Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China. “Through the influential platform of PHOTOFAIRS, we hope to present Porsche's classic heritage and vision to our audience. I believe Porsche will continue its sports car legency through consistant innovations."
