The Logistics Capital of Linyi Welcomes its First Porsche CentrePorsche China to further its Expansion in Shandong

Shanghai/Linyi/Stuttgart. After a period of extensive preparation, Porsche has finally arrived in Linyi with the opening of the first Porsche Centre in the city on 17 September, 2019. The Porsche Centre Linyi is located at No.213, Yihe Road, Luozhuang District, Linyi, Shandong Porvince. The establishment of this new centre strengthens the Porsche dealer network throughout the North China region. Mr. Michael Ramsey, Vice President Network Management and Development of Porsche China; Mr. Aaron Zhang, Director Region North of Porsche China; Mr. Freddie Xu, President of Yongda Group; Mr. Hua Tang, Vice-President of Yongda Group; Mr. Ken Xue, Director of Porsche Division of Yongda Group ; Mr. Rubin Wang, General Manager of Porsche Centre Linyi; along with many other guests and members of the media were onsite to witness this memorable moment together and get a first glimpse of the latest state-of-the-art technology on offer.

“Linyi is an important strategic location for Porsche’s expansion in Shandong Province, and its fast economic growth has been one of China’s many success stories in recent years,” said Mr. Michael Ramsey, Vice President Network Management and Development of Porsche China, “Porsche China has achieved further success in the first half of 2019. By the end of June, deliveries had increased to more than 40,000, with 28 per cent growth compared to the same period in 2018. We will continue our success in China and we are aiming for another record-breaking year. With the establishment of the Porsche Centre Linyi, we are committed to delivering world-class Porsche services to all of our loyal customers in Shandong.”

Porsche Centre Linyi has been built to Porsche's global standards and is committed to providing fascinating products and bespoke experiences to its customers. It is spread across 9,015 square metres and includes a state-of-the-art showroom that is capable of simultaneously displaying 11 Porsche sports cars. Meanwhile, the luxury customer lounge, VIP room and entertainment area all ensure premium customer service for every Porsche enthusiast. The Centre has 12 work bays and one direct dialogue bay. It uses Porsche's global standard testing equipment and special maintenance equipment, and every onsite Porsche technician has undergone rigorous training and screening, all in order to holistically meet customer needs and provide the strongest guarantees for all Porsche vehicles.

Mr. Freddie Xu, President of Yongda Group, said at the opening ceremony that, " The cooperation between Yongda Group and Porsche China began in 2009. Over the past 10 years, Yongda has teamed up with Porsche China to cultivate an experienced professional team, which has been widely recognised by consumers. Located in the southeast of Shandong province, Linyi is the junction of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Circle and Bohai Economic Circle, a national key-development area of the East Longhai and Portvicinity Industry Belt of South Shandong, and also the core birthplace of Dongyi culture. With its unique geographical location, Linyi has become a famous trading city and logistics capital, as well as an important national centre of logistics turnover and trade wholesale. Adhering to the customer-centered concept, the new Porsche Centre will provide professional technology and high-level services for local customers, while conveying the cultural connotations of Porsche's constant innovation and pursuit of excellence.

Products are a core area of competency for the Porsche brand. On 4 September, Porsche's first purely electric sports car, the Taycan, had it’s world premiere which took place simultaneously in Asia, Europe and America, marking Porsche’s definitive entry into the electric era. The event location in Fuzhou also fully demonstrated the importance of the Chinese market to Porsche. In addition, the all-new Cayenne Coupé, which is positioned as more progressive, athletic, and emotional, had its official national launch and is expected to be delivered to the market next month. It’s a brand-new body variant added to the third generation of the Cayenne. With many creative design details, the all-new Cayenne Coupé encompasses style, sportiness and daily practicality, bringing a new sports car lifestyle to SUV drivers. Meanwhile, the 8th generation of the 911 will also receive its national launch and be delivered to the market in the fourth quarter.
