Grand Opening of Porsche Centre Guangdong Jieyang Strengthening of South China Dealer Network

Shanghai/Jieyang. On 18th March 2019, Porsche Centre in Jieyang held its grand opening cere-mony, becoming the second Porsche Centre in eastern Guangdong. Porsche Centre Guangdong Jieyang is located at north of the intersection of Huangqishan Avenue and west Jianyang Road, Dongshan Neighbourhood, Rongcheng District, Jieyang. Its opening will help customers in Jieyang and surrounding areas to enjoy Porsche's world-renowned products and services, and will further enhance Porsche's dealer network in South China, strengthening the brand in the local luxury car market. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. David Xiao, Vice President Sales of Porsche China; Mr. Ye Fan, Chairman of China Meidong Automobile Holdings Co., Ltd.; and Ms. Chen Yinghong, General Manager of Porsche Centre Guangdong Jieyang.

Mr. David Xiao, Vice President Sales of Porsche China, expressed his sincere welcome and grati-tude to all the dealers, media and guests who have been longtime supporters of Porsche. Mr. Xiao Da stressed: “China has become the most important market in the world of Porsche. In order to ensure the sustainable development in China, Porsche adheres to a customer-oriented service concept by steadily expanding our dealer network and enhancing their professional capabilities to provide tailor made and world-renowned services for Porsche owners and drivers."

Officially authorised by Porsche China and built with Porsche’s global CI standards, the new cen-tre is committed to providing fasinating products and customised experiences to its customers. Invested by Meidong Automobile Holdings Co., Ltd, Porsche Centre Jieyang is spread across 707 square metres and includes a state-of-the-art showroom that is capable of simultaneously dis-playing 4 Porsche sports cars. The centre is also set up with 3 areas for business negotiation and is equipped with an independent zone for new vehicle delivery. The center has a high-standard sales team, and the powerful vehicle customisation area can fulfil the individual needs of customers and create an exclusive Porsche car. In addition, the centre applies the concept of digitalization, and the dynamic display screen scrolls through Porsche's full range of models, company history and brand image, immersing customers in Porsche's brand culture.

Jieyang is one of the oldest cities in Guangdong Province, and has a strong historical heritage as the birthplace of Chaoshan culture. In addition, thanks to its superior geographical location, Jieyang is not only an important transport hub in the eastern part of Guangdong but is also an important driving force of the regional economy. The promotion of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative has given Jieyang more opportunities for development. Porsche China held on to pole position for deliveries again in 2018. Growth in this market hit twelve percent amounting to 80,108 units in total. The Chinese market has been the largest single market of Porsche for four consecutive years. In 2019, two sports models was presented at the 89th Geneva Motor Show. The indisputable highlight was the new 911 S Cabriolet,which powered by the 3.0-litre, flat-six turbocharged engine - together with a newly developed eight-speed dual-clutch transmission - enables this impressive machine to deliver more power than ever before. As it also featured the world-first Porsche Wet Mode, this iconic model was even more capable of handling difficult wet driving conditions. In addition, The new Macan S made its first public appearance in Geneva. Its featured comprehensive upgrades in terms of its performance, design and connectivity and once again cemented its status as the most stylish and sportiest SUV on the market. Both models are already available for order in China, and plans are underway to deliver them to customers this year, further satisfying the needs and expectations of China's motoring enthusiasts.
