Porsche China held on to pole position for deliveries again in 2018. Growth in this market hit twelve percent amounting to 80,108 units in total. The Chinese market has been the largest single market of Porsche for four consecutive years. In the face of increased demand for personalised services, Porsche continues to optimise its product lineup. Among them, the new Macan celebrated its world premiere in Shanghai last July, once again deepening its product positioning as the most stylish and sportiest SUV in its segment. Since the launch of the new Cayenne in China in March 2018, its market demand has continued to grow and its sales have increased by 19% year-on-year. In November, the first plug-in hybrid model of the third-generation of Cayenne, the Cayenne E-Hybrid, premiered at the 16th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, to further satisfy the diverse driving requirements and modern lifestyles of Chinese customers.

Porsche is already in the midst of transformation for digitisation, electrification and interconnection. For the next decade, Porsche will take a product strategy of three pillars, covering optimized combustion engines, plug-in hybrid models and purely electric sports cars, each of which will undoubtedly follow the typical Porsche style. Porsche's first purely electric sports car, the Taycan, will be launched globally in 2019 and into the Chinese market in 2020.
