Testing to WLTP

WLTP stands for "Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure“. This is the EU test procedure applicable since September 2017, for measuring exhaust emissions and fuel consumption.

WLTP is a standardised way of measuring exhaust emissions and energy consumption across petrol, diesel, CNG and electric vehicles, ensuring results are comparable between engine / motor types worldwide. Real driving data is used to provide more realistic results taking into account, for example, longer driving distances and shorter idle times.

Porsche is committed to sustainable efficiency. So, when a Porsche comes to the end of its life, we do all we can to make its disposal as environmentally friendly as possible. It can be returned to Porsche for redemption and recycling as long as it complies with the following conditions:

  • It was last registered in the EU for at least one month
  • There are no drive-related or safety-relevant components
  • The vehicle is free of personal belongings
  • Accreditation documents are returned together with the vehicle

Throughout the EU, the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulation requires us to pass on information relating to substances of very high concern in the supply chain, if our “products” contain more than 0.1 % weight-by-weight of these substances.

This obliges automobile manufacturers to make the information listed in the appendix available to inspection organisations and the relevant authorities.
