"Ducktail", "RS" or "2.7er". The 911 Carrera RS 2.7 has many nicknames today. Its significance is unique: In its day, it was the fastest German production car and the first production model with a front and rear spoiler - the "Ducktail”. In 1972, Porsche thus established a trend - that of rear spoilers on production cars. The RS 2.7 is the first 911 to be given the "Carrera" badge, based on the road classic Carrera Panamericana. This year, Porsche honors "50 years of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7." In October 1972, Porsche presented the purist lightweight version of a sports car at the Paris Motor Show. With this special exhibition, we look back at the beginnings, technical highlights and the influence until today of this automotive cult object, while also taking you back to the 1970s.
The special show will start on 20 September 2022.
