Porsche Drive Rental is our flexible, exclusive, and sporty mobility concept that offers existing and new customers on demand access to a selection of Porsche vehicles for a day, weekend, or week.
Make a booking by using the web-based and smartphone optimised booking tool: porsche-drive.com.au. Select your desired Porsche and rental period. Once your booking has been confirmed, you can pick-up your Porsche, all that’s left is for you to drive!
Porsche Drive Rental will offer you access to the following models:

911 Carrera 4S (model year: 2020) 911 Carrera S (model year: 2020) 718 Boxster S (model year: 2020) Taycan 4S (model year: 2021)
The model colour is subject to availability.

Porsche Drive Rental offers three different rental periods:
Day: 24 hours (available from Monday to Friday) Weekend: Friday from 2pm until Monday 10am Week: any seven consecutive days (commencing on a day other than Sunday/public holiday)

All Porsche Drive Rental vehicles are insured. However, items in or on the vehicle are not covered by the insurance policy. Other exclusions apply, including as set out in the Schedule (Coverage and Exclusions under Insurance Policy) to the Rental Contract.

A A$6,000 security deposit will be pre-authorised on the day of vehicle pick-up. If an insurance claim is made for damage caused during the rental period, the security deposit will be applied to cover the lesser of the repair cost or the insurance excess of A$6,000.

At Porsche Drive Rental, the health and comfort of our customers and employees is our highest priority.
We want to assure you that we are doing all we can to ensure proper protocols are in place and followed to mitigate the spread of this virus including the following:

we thoroughly clean and sanitise every vehicle before and after each rental. our team completes a multi-point inspection and cleaning process wherein exterior and interior touch points are deep cleaned and sanitised before being prepared for future rentals. high touch point areas include steering wheels, door handles, shift knobs and arm rests are also specifically cleaned with disinfecting wipes or spray.
As the situation unfolds, the above plans and precautions might change.

Porsche Drive Rental is currently only available from Porsche Centre Melbourne (109-111 Victoria Parade, Collingwood, VIC 3066, Australia).
Porsche Drive Rental is available to all Porsche fans, enthusiasts and owners that are at least 27 years old and hold a valid, full, and unrestricted Australian or international driver’s licence for a minimum of five years at the start of the rental period.
Porsche Drive Rental pricing varies depending on the Porsche you choose and the rental period you select. Please find the pricing chart on porsche-drive.com.au under ‘Car Lineup, Price & Mileage’. The following is also included in the rental fee:

complementary mileage which depends on your selected rental period; coverage of toll road fees; registration of second driver (at the time of vehicle pick-up); offsetting of CO2 emissions via Porsche Impact; and introduction to your selected Porsche.

No, it’s not possible to book a Porsche and pay the rental fees on behalf of someone else.
You can modify or cancel your Porsche Drive Rental up to 72 hours prior to the start of the rental period free of charge. The best way to modify your booking is to cancel your current booking and enter a new booking. In case you require assistance, please contact us at drive@porsche.com.au or call +61 (0) 449 558 100.

A second driver can be registered at collection of the vehicle at the Porsche Centre. The second driver must attend the vehicle pick-up and provide proof that the minimum requirements of being at least 27 years old and holding a valid, full, and unrestricted driver licence for a minimum of five years are fulfilled.

We want to ensure the best service and safety for all of our customers. In order to do so, we keep track of various data points to record vehicle and driver booking history. For more information on terms of use, please refer to the Privacy Collection Notice and our Privacy Policy.
All Porsche Drive Rental drivers need to present their valid driver’s licence (Australian or international) which must show a photo and residential address at the vehicle pick-up. In case the driver is not an Australian resident, a valid passport is also required for the proof of identity.

Please also ensure sufficient funds on your credit card for the pre-authorisation of the security deposit (A$6,000) and that the expiry date on your credit card is at least 6 months after the pick-up date.

Porsche Drive Rental does not offer a delivery and/or pick-up service. Please pick-up and return your rented Porsche at Porsche Centre Melbourne (109-111 Victoria Parade, Collingwood, VIC 3066, Australia).
All Porsche Drive Rental vehicles are inspected prior to the start of the rental period.

Before leaving the Porsche Centre, you will inspect the vehicle for any damage together with the Porsche Drive Rental Coordinator. As part of the vehicle handover, you will confirm the rental details and condition of the vehicle by signing a Proof of Car Rental form. Please notify the Porsche Drive Rental Coordinator if you see something that is not noted on the Proof of Car Rental form before you sign it.

Upon return, your vehicle will undergo a thorough check to determine whether any damage occurred throughout the rental period.

All Porsche Drive Rental vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel or charged battery.

For petrol vehicles: you must return the vehicle with a full fuel tank of premium 98-octane fuel. If you return the vehicle without a full tank of fuel, we will refill the vehicle and will charge and invoice you a rate of A$2.50 per litre which will be debited against your credit card.

For electric vehicles: the battery does not need to be fully charged when you return the vehicle. We will organise the recharge at no additional cost to you.

If you believe there has been an error in your account or if you have any concerns, the Porsche Drive Rental Coordinator will try and assist you. If the Porsche Drive Rental Coordinator is unable to resolve the matter to your satisfaction you may refer the matter to our CRM & Customer Relations team by email to privacy@porsche.com.au.
Porsche Drive Rental vehicles are tastefully and well-equipped with high-end trim packages and options. Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of certain options. Porsche Drive Rental does not provide additional equipment such as child seats and depending on the type of vehicle selected, child seats may not be fitted in the vehicle.
We do not allow pets in the vehicles.
Each Porsche Drive Rental booking comes with a complementary mileage which will depend on your selected rental period:

 

day: 350 km; weekend: 750 km; and week: 1800 km.
If you exceed your complementary mileage, you will incur an additional charge of A$1.50 per kilometre.

Any fines issued with respect to the vehicle during your rental period will be your personal responsibility e.g.: parking fines will be paid by us in the first instance and then we will debit your credit card, with respect to any driving offences detected by camera or otherwise, such as red-light or speeding offences, we will nominate the primary driver to the relevant Authority.

We will also charge you a processing fee of A$50 per fine and debit this amount from your credit card.

The Taycan can be charged at most public charging locations in Australia. You can access complementary charging via the Chargefox fast-charging network, at participating Chargefox fast-charging locations or at Porsche Destination Chargers which can be found in the vehicle’s communication management system (PCM) or Porsche Charging Map.
You will be provided with a mobile charging unit which can charge the Taycan from a 230V Australian domestic outlet. It is however, highly recommended that you charge at a public charging location. If you would still like to charge the vehicle from a domestic power outlet, please note that adding 50% to the battery state of charge may take approximately 24 hours.
Charging at public charging locations typically incurs a cost which you will be responsible for. You can access complementary charging via the Chargefox fast-charging network, at participating Chargefox fast-charging locations or at Porsche Destination Chargers which can be found in the vehicle’s communication management system (PCM) or Porsche Charging Map.

Charging time varies depending on the type of charger used. At a Chargefox fast-charging station, you may be able to charge the battery from 5% to 80% capacity in under 30 minutes. Charging with the mobile charging unit from a domestic power outlet will take significantly longer.

A valid credit card is required in order to confirm and pay for your booking.
The full rental fee will be debited from your nominated credit card at the time of booking your Porsche Drive Rental.
On the day of vehicle pick-up, a A$6,000 security deposit will be pre-authorised from your credit card. We expect that the security deposit will be released within three (3) business days of returning the vehicle provided that the rental vehicle is not damaged. The time until the security deposit amount is fully accessible is subject to the processing times of your bank.
You can cancel your Porsche Drive Rental at any time. Depending on the time of cancellation, we will retain the following amounts from your pre-paid rental fee:

Up to 72 hours prior to the start of the rental period: 0% of rental fee Between 72 hours and 24 hours prior to the start of the rental period: 50% of rental fee Less than 24 hours prior to the start of the rental period (or ‘no show’): 100% of rental fee
However, if we should be able to secure another booking for the Vehicle during your originally booked rental period despite the short notice, we will reduce the amount to be retained accordingly. We expect that any balance of the pre-paid rental fee will be refunded to your credit card within 3 business days after the end of the originally booked rental period. The time until the refund is accessible on your bank account is subject to the processing times of your bank.


If you do not pick-up the vehicle, this is considered a ‘no show’ and will result in a cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the start of the rental period. This means that we will retain 100% of the rental fee. However, if we should be able to secure another booking for the Vehicle during your originally booked rental period, we will reduce the amount to be retained accordingly.
