1PS (PferdeStärke, German for horsepower) is the standard unit used in the European Union to measure the power output of a motor in ‘metric horsepower’.

2The published consumption (l/100km and Wh/km), emissions (g/km) and kilometre (km) range figures are based on results from Porsche AG under controlled test conditions conducted in accordance with the applicable Australian Design Rule for vehicle comparison purposes only. Actual consumption, emissions and kilometre ranges you experience will vary depending on a number of factors such as speed, traffic and weather conditions, driving habits, elevation change, how much weight the vehicle is carrying, use of vehicle features/accessories such as heating or air-conditioning, and wheels/tyres among others. Please contact an Official Porsche Centre for specific information on current data, vehicles, performance characteristics, optional extras and features available in Australian delivered vehicles.

Built for a life centred around sport.

The 718 models transfer the racing spirit of the legendary Porsche mid-engined race cars from the 1950s and 1960s – such as the 718 RSK Spyder or the 718 RS 60 Spyder – to the roads of today. With one goal: to elevate the everyday beyond the ordinary.

Design.

Precise, not playful. Confident, not reserved. Deep, wide, flat. The design of the 718 models is characterised by clearly defined shapes and the unmistakable silhouette with a characteristic mid-engine flyline.

Soft top.

The soft top of the 718 Boxster lies flat in a sports car shape when closed. At the push of a button, it opens and closes entirely automatically in nine seconds – even when driving at up to 50 km/h.

Mid-engine sports car.

In the 718 models, the mid-engine concept with boxer engine results in a low and central centre of gravity. For dynamic cornering and top driving performance.

Chassis.

Characteristic Porsche sporty chassis tuning and direct steering for agile handling for superior cornering performance. The optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) lowered by 10 mm offers even greater performance.

Interior concept.

Intuitive handling, performance-oriented ergonomics and a clean design. The interior of the 718 models is also fully geared towards sporty performance.

Sport Chrono Package.

The optional Sport Chrono Package with mode switch provides an even sharper setup of the chassis, engine and gearbox.

Fast, powerful, quick-witted. Unequivocally a boxer.

What is it that makes the 718 models so special? Their performance, their handling, their design, their spaciousness with two luggage compartments. But most of all: a mid-engine layout that makes all this possible in the first place.

Turbo engines.

The four-cylinder boxer engines of the 718, 718 Style Edition and 718 S models are designed to be powerful and efficient. The Turbo technology with a compact exhaust turbocharger that is optimally adapted to the displacement and power of the engine is responsible for this.

Naturally aspirated engine.

In the 718 GTS 4.0 models, the 4.0-litre-6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 294 kW (400 PS) at TBA for powerful propulsion and an enormous performance spectrum. Responsiveness? Direct. High revs? Oh yes. Highly emotional yet efficient.

Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).

The 7-speed PDK with manual and automatic modes allows for extremely fast gear changes without interruption in traction. In manual mode, the direction of shifting is the same as in race cars – pull back to shift up, push forward to shift down.

Six-speed manual transmission.

Alternatively, power is transmitted through a smooth, 6-speed manual transmission, perfectly tuned to the engine's characteristics. The gear changes are sporty and short – the shift effort is low. For a sporty, direct driving experience.

Greater comfort. Improved performance.

Optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) continuously adjusts the damping force for each individual wheel – according to driving style and road conditions. In addition, the body is lowered by 10 mm.

PASM sports suspension.

The 718 GTS 4.0 models are equipped with the PASM sports chassis. The body is lowered by 20 mm. The springs and anti-roll bars are tuned for more direct and agile handling with high cornering performance.
