Our Porsche AG locations

The largest location of Porsche AG and also the headquarters is the main factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. The 911 model line and the electric Taycan are produced here.

The Porsche AG development centre is located in Weissach, also near Stuttgart. Here, engineers and designers work on new technologies and vehicle concepts. New series models are also developed here.

Porsche AG's second production site in Germany is the Leipzig factory – this is where the Panamera, the Macan and the new Macan electric are produced. In addition, the Porsche Experience Centre is located at the Leipzig site, which offers customers and fans the opportunity to experience Porsche sports cars up close.

In Sachsenheim, also in the greater Stuttgart area, Porsche AG operates the central parts warehouse, which is responsible for supplying spare parts to Porsche Centres around the world.

The 718 Boxster and Cayman mid-engine sports cars are manufactured as overflow production within the Group network at the Osnabrück site. The Cayenne model line is manufactured in the multi-brand factory in Bratislava. The Cayenne is also manufactured in Malaysia as a CKD model especially for the local market.

The heart of Porsche continues to beat in Zuffenhausen. Where everything began. This is where the serial production of the first Porsche series model started, and where our iconic 911 sports car is still built today. The special thing about sports car production in Zuffenhausen: all models and derivatives of the 911, including the Cup racing versions, are still produced on one production line. In addition, the flat engines of the 911, the V8 power units of the Cayenne and Panamera as well as the electric motors of the electric Macan are manufactured at the home location.

Weissach

The development centre is the Porsche think tank: from the first drawing to the finished prototype, vehicles have been developed, tested and prepared for series production here since 1971, facilitated by close proximity between the different specialist departments. The design and conception, the model construction and initial prototypes, the testing of aerodynamics, acoustics and electronics, the development of drive systems, the steering and chassis, the safety tests and trials, an in-house test track and the Porsche motor sports department all fall under the umbrella of the Weissach development centre. Porsche relies on traditional craftsmanship as well as on state-of-the-art testing and inspection centres.

Porsche is more than 'just' an exclusive sports car manufacturer, and nowhere is this more evident than at our service location in Bietigheim-Bissingen. The majority of the German subsidiaries of Porsche are based here, including Porsche Consulting GmbH, Porsche Financial Services GmbH, Porsche Deutschland GmbH and Porsche Lifestyle GmbH & Co. KG.

Sachsenheim

In October 2007, Porsche laid the cornerstone for its newest location in Germany. The company's central parts warehouse was built in the Ludwigsburg district in two stages. Fully operational in 2010, Sachsenheim is the global hub of the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer, where several hundred thousand different parts are stored and managed. The warehouse is equipped with the latest technology and enables orders to be processed quickly and efficiently, whether it's the latest 911 or a historic Porsche sports car.

Porsche models have been manufactured in Leipzig since 2002. The company’s second production site has set standards from the very beginning. The Porsche Macan, Panamera and the electric Macan model series are built at the Leipzig site. When it was put into operation, the factory at the gates of the Saxon city known for its trade fairs was already considered one of the most modern automotive factories in the world. The Porsche Experience Centre with an on-road circuit and a factory site situated in a natural environment including an off-road course complete the unique character of the location.
