1. Eligibility
The Porsche Approved Warranty supports the ongoing quality and reliability of eligible Porsche vehicles by providing coverage for specified defects in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Only Porsche vehicles which meet the following criteria are eligible for this Warranty:
The vehicle must have travelled less than 200,000 km and be less than 14 years old. It must be approved for road use and remain in its original production condition, unless any changes or modifications have been completed or expressly approved by the Warrantor; and
The vehicle must have been maintained through the Official Porsche Centre network or otherwise strictly in accordance with the specifications in the Porsche maintenance schedule using only parts or accessories, fuels, lubricants or fluids whose use has been approved by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG (PAG). A deviation from servicing the vehicle as specified, will not make the vehicle ineligible for this Warranty, provided that the deviation from the specified service intervals in terms of time does not exceed one month, and in terms of the mileage of the vehicle does not exceed 1,000 km; and
The vehicle must either be currently covered by an existing Porsche Approved Warranty or a New Vehicle Warranty. If coverage has lapsed, the vehicle may still qualify provided that:
3.1 an administration fee of $500 is paid; and
3.2 the Warrantee is the original owner of the vehicle, or became a subsequent owner before coverage lapsed; and
3.3 the vehicle successfully passes a Porsche technical inspection; and
3.4 the Warrantee can prove the vehicle has been maintained strictly in accordance with the Porsche maintenance schedule. This can be done by submitting to the Warrantor for review the fully completed service record (hard copy or digital) and corresponding workshop invoices.
Vehicles listed as statutory or repairable write offs, vehicles with unrepaired collision damage, or vehicles that have undergone collision repairs not inspected and approved by a Porsche Certified Collision Centre are not eligible for this Warranty.
2. Warranty Validity and Transfer
This Warranty is valid worldwide with unlimited mileage within the Warranty period, provided the Warrantee presents the vehicle and the warranty certificate to an Official Porsche Centre.
If the vehicle is sold, this Warranty - and the ability to extend warranty coverage for the vehicle - may transfer to the new owner, provided the new owner is not a sport driving school, a licensed motor vehicle dealer acquiring the vehicle for the purpose of resale, a rental car entity or a business whose purpose is transporting passengers.
All claims must be lodged by the Warrantee before the expiry date shown on the Warranty certificate which is provided at the time of purchase.
3. Warranty Coverage
This Warranty covers the operational functionality of all parts belonging to the following components or units of the vehicle, except where noted in Section 4:

For the avoidance of any doubt, this Warranty does not cover claims for vehicle loss of usage, nor for loan or rental vehicles.
Any expenses associated with a warranty claim are to be borne by the Warrantee. The cost of testing, measurement, adjustment and cleaning work relating to warranty claims which are refused under the terms of this Warranty must be paid for by the Warrantee (unless waived by the Official Porsche Centre in its discretion).
5. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a claim under this Warranty, the Warrantee must within the warranty period, notify any Official Porsche Centre of a defect immediately after it first occurs by providing details of the claim in writing or presenting the vehicle to an Official Porsche Centre to record the claim on the Warrantee’s behalf. A full list of Official Porsche Centres can be found at: https://www.porsche.com/au/en-AU/dealersearch/
The Porsche Centre will then contact the Warrantee to arrange an inspection of the vehicle. The Warrantee must make the vehicle available and provide it with all necessary information.
All repair work covered under this Warranty will be carried out or arranged by an Official Porsche Centre, free of charge to the Warrantee, using repair methods that meet Porsche’s technical requirements.
There are no fees or charges for a successful Warranty claim.
If the cost of a repair exceeds the value of a replacement unit, the Warrantor will satisfy the claim by fitting a replacement unit.
The old parts removed from a vehicle will become the property of the Official Porsche Centre carrying out the repair works, unless agreed otherwise.
The Warrantee will be provided with alternative mobility options during the period of any warranty repairs, subject to availability.
6. When Warranty Claims Are Not Valid
A Warranty claim will be excluded or denied if the defect or damage has been caused by one of the following:
Using the vehicle outside its intended purpose (e.g., the vehicle has been used as a hire car or for conveying passengers for a fare); or
The vehicle has been improperly handled, subjected to undue force or stresses (e.g. motorsport competition), overused (for ICE vehicles, an example is engine over-revving or over-speeding that occurs with manually shifted vehicles by an incorrect gear downshifting), or overloaded; or
The vehicle has been used, or tested in preparation for use for motorsport including, without limitation, racing or rallying, for reward or otherwise.
The vehicle has been previously improperly repaired, modified, improperly maintained, or improperly serviced, in a way not in accordance with the Porsche maintenance schedule or not approved by the Warrantor; or
5.1 Parts or accessories have been fitted or installed to the vehicle, or fuels, lubricants or fluids have been used, whose use has not been approved by PAG; and/or
5.2 the vehicle has been modified in a way not approved by PAG (including use of engine components or electronic control unit tuning or other modification), unless the Warrantee can prove to the Warrantor’s reasonable satisfaction that:
5.3 the use of the non-approved parts, accessories, fuels, lubricants or fluids are of equivalent quality to those approved by PAG; and/or
5.4 the modification to the vehicle did not cause the defect or damage;
The Warrantor’s or an Official Porsche Centre’s instructions/guidelines for the operation, handling and care of the vehicle in the latest version communicated to the Warrantee, have not been followed; or
The owner or driver ignoring or not actioning vehicle warning indicators displayed in the vehicle; or
The Warrantee has not reported a defect immediately; or
The Warrantee has not immediately given the Warrantor the opportunity to remedy the defect; or
Natural phenomena or events outside the Warrantor’s control (acts of God); or
Damage to the vehicle caused by external causes or influences (e.g., accident, impact, hail, flooding, animal bite for example by an insect or rodent).
If a claim is refused, the cost of testing, measurement, cleaning or adjustment work is the responsibility of the Warrantee unless the Porsche Centre chooses to waive the cost.
