This new tour offers an impressive blend of driving pleasure and cultural highlights. Start out from Leipzig on a drive through the beautiful wine-growing region of the Elbe Valley to Dresden, often referred to as ‘Florence on the Elbe’ or the ‘Venice of the East’. Visit the Church of Our Lady, the Semper Opera House and the Residenz Palace, or simply relax on the banks of the river Elbe in preparation for the day ahead. On the second day of the tour, you set off from Dresden through the Elbe valley to the ‘Sächsische Schweiz’ region. Continue along the twisting roads past impressive rock formations, mills and the Königstein Fortress towards the Erzgebirge mountains. The return journey takes you through Glasshütte, a town known for producing a very different kind of precision machine – one with cogs instead of wheels.

The day begins with a tour of the Porsche facility in Leipzig where the Cayenne is produced. After collecting your vehicle for the weekend, you set off along the German Avenues Route and Saxon Wine Route through the picturesque Elbe valley to the 1,000 year old town of Meissen where one of the most famous porcelain factories is located. After lunch the tour continues along the River Elbe to Dresden. After checking in at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski, you are free to explore the city at your leisure. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the stylish ‘Alte Meister’ restaurant.

On day two, you drive towards the Elbe Sandstone Massif, an impressive landscape to the southeast of Dresden which the River Elbe meanders through. In addition to sheer cliffs, unspoilt vantage points and sleepy villages, it also features a number of bends, making it the ideal location for a Porsche driving experience. The journey continues through Königstein, past the clockmaking town of Glashütte, and back to Dresden. Stop for lunch in the wine-growing region around Dresden before setting off along the motorway for the return journey to Leipzig, followed by individual departure.
