There’s no better location for winter driver training than the northern Arctic Circle, or more precisely the Arctic Driving Center in the Finnish town of Rovaniemi or at the Mellatracks Proving Ground in Ivalo – about 300 km (186 miles) further north. Take to the wheel of a 911 Carrera or Cayenne and hone your car control skills on ice and snow. Experience all types of conditions including a black-ice slalom and the off-road circuit with the benefit of expert guidance from Porsche Sport Driving School instructors. After the training, you’ll also get the opportunity to explore the endless expanse of Lapland’s countryside – on snowmobiles, for example.
Individual travel to the Sokos Hotel Vaakuna. Relax over dinner, while the members of the Camp4 team welcome you and introduce themselves.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting off for your first day of training at the Arctic Driving Center I + II. Under controlled conditions, the Porsche instructors will teach you the basics of safety-conscious driving and driving dynamics. At the end of the day, enjoy a delightful evening meal in a traditional Finnish log cabin.
Practice makes perfect. This also applies to improving your driving skills in a Porsche. So, after breakfast at the hotel, you set off for the second day of your driving course at the Arctic Driving Center I + II. In the evening, you’ll be served dinner at an exclusive restaurant at the Arctic Circle.

Individual departure.
The test facility at the Arctic Driving Center is an ideal location for practising your driving skills in safety in some of the most challenging winter conditions. Firstly, the Porsche instructors will teach you the basics of safety-conscious driving and driving dynamics. Under controlled conditions, you will learn how to brake effectively, change direction and approach a slippery ascent. The course will also enable you to understand – and drive within – the limits of your car. During the theory briefing, you will learn about various driving styles, followed by the opportunity to try these out for yourself.

Once you have mastered Camp4, you’re ready for the challenges of Camp4S. The course follows on seamlessly from the training content of Camp4. After all, learning how to control your vehicle on ice and snow is something that demands plenty of practice. The course therefore involves spending a great deal of time behind the wheel. The training courses are held in Rovaniemi or 300 km (186 miles) further north in Ivalo. In addition to exercises, you will also be taught the basic principles of driving dynamics. Our Porsche instructors are on hand throughout the duration of the course to provide any advice and assistance you might need.
