One day course for first time participants.
The warm-up: a moment of great excitement in motorsport. The time when, after the long wait, the action can finally start and the vehicles set out on their first lap. Our Warm-up training programme is equally exhilarating. The course is aimed at first time participants and customers who want to refresh their knowledge of the essentials. It also offers entry into the basics of high-performance driving.
The course teaches you the fundamentals of vehicle control. These practice sessions take place at dedicated safety driving centres or on the racetrack. Training is not against the clock with a view to setting lap records – instead, the locations provide a safe environment for simulating hazardous situations you may face in everyday traffic.
After learning to find your ideal seat and steering wheel position, as well as correct vision control, you’re ready to tackle the various sections. These include how to brake effectively and avoid sudden obstacles in the road. The training also covers controlling oversteer and understeer and how to skilfully react to load changes.
On a circuit, you will learn the optimum way to approach and negotiate bends. Porsche instructors will then familiarise you with the basic laws of physics relating to driving and vehicle handling. The course also covers various Porsche electronic driving aids and how these should be used correctly.
Naturally, our instructors are on hand to examine how you are progressing in each section. The next level up is Precision. You cannot choose Performance as your introductory course at the Porsche Sport Driving School.
In addition to the training content, this course also ensures that the fun side of driving is not forgotten.
