Porsche - Warm-up

One day course for first time participants

The warm-up: a moment of great excitement in motorsport. The time when, after the long wait, the action can finally start and the vehicles set out on their first lap. Our Warm-up training programme is equally exhilarating. The course is aimed at first time participants and customers who want to refresh their knowledge of the essentials.

The course teaches you the fundamentals of vehicle control. These practice sessions take place at dedicated safety driving centres or on the racetrack. The locations provide a safe environment for simulating hazardous situations you may face in everyday traffic at various speeds. You tackle three different sections in your own vehicle to practise how to brake effectively, change lanes and control oversteer and understeer. In a further three sections, you take to a selection of Porsche models to find and follow the racing line and practise negotiating a slalom sure-footedly, before leaving the track to develop your off-road driving skills.

Porsche instructors will then familiarize you with the basic laws of physics relating to driving and vehicle handling. The course also covers various Porsche electronic driving aids and how these should be used correctly. In addition to the training content, this course also ensures that the fun side of driving is not forgotten.

A Warm-up SUV training course is also available. This version deals specifically with the typical characteristics of SUV vehicles such as a higher centre of gravity, seating position and slip angle.
