The current popularity of the 962 at vintage racing events rekindles the excitement for Porsche's old workhorse and conjures up emotionally charged memories of star-studded grids with a variety of GTP cars dicing for the checker.

The personnel at Porsche Motorsport North America, because of their intimate involvement with the 962 during its heyday, have a special attachment to these venerable racecars. Whether involved in the engine development and management programs, or as members of 962 teams, the people at PMNA acquired much hands-on knowledge of the 962 and helped shape its history. PMNA representatives, a familiar sight at vintage races, provide comprehensive trackside technical support, and our Santa Ana facility has a well-stocked parts department and offers complete engine and electronics maintenance services.

As 962s continue to be restored, sold and raced, PMNA believes that there should be a system to document their location and ownership. We would like to create and maintain a 962 Registry as a service to owners. By establishing a central clearinghouse for information and maintaining up-to-date records, the registry will provide owners and potential buyers valuable information and specifications, which could prove helpful during the buying or selling process.
