Like in 2006, the race in the Kingdom of Bahrain opens the new season. Two classification rounds will take place there. The 2008 race calendar comprises 12 championship rounds. New on the schedule is the classification race on the urban circuit in Valencia city, Spain.

For each event practice sessions of 30 to 45 minutes and a qualifying of 30 to 45 minutes are planned. The starting grid for the classification rounds depends on the result of the qualifying.

Races are contested over approx. 70 kilometres and take off from a standing start. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is organised directly by Porsche AG, thus guaranteering professional service regarding all organisational or technical issues.
