Porsche Posts Record May Sales in the U.S.Best-ever May for 911 sports car range

ATLANTA, June 1, 2007 – Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. sales for the month of May that totaled a record breaking 3,348, an increase of 2 percent from last May’s historical record result of 3,272.

Continuing high demand for both sports cars and, in particular, for the new 2008 Cayenne range, contributed to the strong sales performance. Total 911 sales of 1,227 were up 13 percent compared with 1,087 in the same month last year, setting another 911 record month. For the first five months, sales of Porsche’s iconic sports car are up 13 percent over 2006. Of the 5,811 911s sold 1,435 were 911 Turbo Coupes.

The new 2008 Cayenne SUV range recorded an increase of 9 percent from the prior year with total sales of 1,119.

In addition, Porsche dealers sold a record 633 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles in May, the highest monthly figure since the introduction of Porsche's CPO program in 2005.
