Stuttgart. Yesterday evening, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, recognized its ten best suppliers of the last fiscal year during its annual "Supplier Award" ceremony. The big winner was AISIN AW Co. Ltd., which is headquartered in the city of Anjo, Japan, and has been a series supplier for automatic transmissions for the successful Cayenne range since 2002.
"The relationship between Porsche and its suppliers will continue to
be characterized by reliability, fairness and a long-term outlook", said
Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, Chairman of the Board of Porsche AG, in front
of approximately 260 invited guests during the award ceremony at the Stuttgart Porsche Museum. "The suppliers have fulfilled their responsibilities and contributed considerably to the fact that new cars in the Porsche family are ranked again and again as top of the line in international studies and comparison tests", he said. At the same time, Wiedeking emphasized that Porsche stands every chance of successfully overcoming the global recession. The sports car manufacturer offers an extremely attractive range of models with particularly fuel-efficient, yet powerful engines.
Besides AISIN AW Co. Ltd., Porsche also recognized nine other suppliers for their top-rate performance and services. These were Borbet Austria GmbH, Robert Bosch GmbH, Kingeter GmbH, KS-Gleitlager GmbH, Leoni Bordnetz-Systeme GmbH, Marbach Concepte GmbH & Co. KG, Pumpenfabrik Ernst Scherzinger GmbH & Co., teamproject GBR and ZF Lemförder Schaltungssysteme GmbH.
