Porsche has Christmas 2009 wrapped up for the whole family, with an extensive range of perfect presents on offer, including driving experiences at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone and gifts for all ages from the Porsche Design Driver’s Selection range.
For drivers looking to improve their skills on the road, Porsche launched the YouDrive course in October 2009. The fun and action-packed half-day programme for drivers of all backgrounds, incorporates car handling exercises on the unique IceHill, kick-plate and other low friction surfaces as well as a chance to try a Porsche 911 sports coupe around the Centre’s outer handling circuit. The course costs £165 for three hours and is open to any drivers over 21 years of age.
Fans of the 911 can indulge in a journey through the heritage of this iconic model with the Evolution 911 course. Costing £275 for a 90 minute programme, the course is the perfect starting point for drivers to travel back through the historic years of sports car performance, and experience for themselves the unique feel, character and driver involvement offered by the 911.
Gift vouchers, displayed in a presentation box, are also available to the value of a Porsche Driving Experience. The lucky recipient then has the option to select a course from the whole range on offer including: Precision and Handling, Trackcraft, Winter Preparation, Night Driving and the Cayenne Off-road course to name but a few.
Even the youngest Porsche fan can get behind the wheel this Christmas with the new Porsche 911 pedal car (£187) and baby ride-on Porsche (£67), from Porsche Design Driver’s Selection. For those who can’t bear to be apart from their car at bedtime, the Plush 911 car (£26) is a great cuddle companion too.
Porsche Design Driver’s Selection products have always been high on the Christmas wish-list of motoring fans. Highlights of the 2009 range include a new Bobsleigh (£169), styled by the Porsche Design Studio. For those heading on to the slopes this year, it guarantees maximum acceleration thanks to geometry and weight distribution based on experiences from competitive luge racing.
Celebrating the extensive heritage of Porsche, the 2010 Historics Calendar features some of the most iconic models from the brand and the 2010 diary continues the theme with photography from the Porsche Museum, which opened in 2008. Priced from £29 and £31 respectively, both items are the perfect way to begin the New Year.
Porsche also offers an extensive range of clothing, accessories, jewellery and model cars available to purchase via the on-line shop at www.porsche.co.uk/shop or through one of the 33 Porsche Centres nationwide.
