Breathtaking views. Deep, green valleys. Snow-capped peaks, glistening against a backdrop of infinite blue. Echoes that throw back the roar of air-cooled flat engines. Sharp bends. Steep ascents. Long, breakneck descents. Shift gear, steer, brake hard, accelerate. All of this taking place on the scarce, rarely-used roads of the Alps. This unique setting has turned the Ennstal Classic into a highlight of the global motorsports calendar for vintage cars.
This year, the event took place for the 25th time. A very special anniversary. Motorsports giants, countless fans and the most beautiful sports cars of the last five decades. And right at the centre of all the action: Patrick Dempsey. International star. Style icon. Racer. Driving a 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster 1500, he passed through countless little mountain villages, turning each pit stop into a Hollywood performance. Stylish. Dashing. Up close and personal here at the Ennstal Classic. Always open to questions. Skilled in the art of conversation.
Dempsey – along with the illustrious array of pros such as Le Mans winner Neel Jani, world rally champions Walter Röhrl, Derek Bell, Mark Webber and Hans-Joachim Stuck, as well as a huge number of enthusiastic vintage car fans from all over the world – brought a dash of glamour to Upper Styria over this long weekend.
