Which services are offered by the Porsche Classic Customer Centre at the main factory in Zuffenhausen (Plant 1)?
It is our aim to offer you as owner or prospective owner of a youngtimer or vintage Porsche a point of contact at this historic location, where we can meet your expectations for repair, maintenance, care, restoration and Genuine Parts in customary Porsche quality. We also offer you technical literature for your vehicle and are on hand to meet you at numerous interesting events.

For which models does Porsche Classic offer its service?
As a rule, we deal with Porsche vehicles whose production runs came to an end at least 15 years ago. In short: the 356, 914, 911 and 959, as well as all water-cooled 4- and 8-cylinder Porsche road cars. Why are we so certain that we can meet this high claim? We know how you feel about your classic Porsche. Because we feel the same.

What is special about the service provided by Porsche Classic?
At Porsche Classic, you entrust your vehicle to a team of experts. And you’re not the only one. Vehicle owners from all around the world, and even the Porsche Museum, are satisfied with nothing less than the knowledge that has grown here over the decades.
Within the walls of the plant at the main factory in Zuffenhausen, we can carry out all the steps necessary to retain the authenticity of a Porsche.
We succeed in doing the splits – technically speaking! At one extreme, for example, are the original straightening tools and gauges from days gone by. At the other is a high-tech standard that goes far beyond the proportion of restoration equipment.
The quality yardstick that arises from this is applied in all departments involved: cooling system and air-conditioning, engine construction, chassis technology, leatherwork, paintshop.

What is the procedure for bringing my vehicle to the main factory for restoration?
First, you should get in contact with our sales advisers at Porsche Classic, who will arrange an appointment with you to view the vehicle. Even at this stage you will notice that our work does not focus on the vehicle, but on you as our customer. You will be given condition reports on site as well as cost estimates following a vehicle or engine disassembly. This is free of charge if you decide to go ahead with the order. Restoration work can now begin on your Porsche whenever you say.

How is my classic sports car transferred to Plant 1 at Zuffenhausen?
We will be happy to help you chose the right forwarding agent. Simply get in touch with our contact  for restoration and repair.

Is partial restoration of my vehicle also possible?
Yes, we restore the engine and transmission, chassis and the interior of your vehicle independently of each other.

Does the vehicle have a guarantee following the restoration?
We naturally guarantee all newly installed Porsche Genuine Parts for 2 years.

Will I receive documentation detailing the restoration work done to my vehicle?
For an original restoration, you will receive a restoration folder from us containing complete documentation of the work carried out on your vehicle, including photographic material. You will also receive a restoration badge made especially for you, including the chassis number and date of restoration.

Do you also undertake modifications that do not correspond with the original delivery condition?
No, in order to ensure the value retention of your vehicle, the original condition is the measure of all things for us. We take the necessary details from the original data sheets and drawings.

What is special about Porsche Genuine Parts?
As far as possible, we obtain our Genuine Parts from the previous production suppliers. If this is no longer possible, we secure new sources of supply. Always with a near-production look and a high degree of compliance with standards regarding technology and safety. Our product line currently runs to 29,000 individual items. Comprehensive documentation on each individual item forms the basis of our work. During reproduction runs we refer to an extensive sample warehouse.

Can I also order Porsche Genuine Parts and literature from my Porsche partner?
Yes, of course. We use the worldwide Porsche dealer network to ensure that your orders can be taken directly at your Porsche partner – regardless of whether this concerns Genuine Parts or literature.

Can I take a tour of the Porsche Classic factory halls at Plant 1?
It is possible to visit the Classic Customer Centre in Plant 1 by arrangement. We would be happy to guide you individually or in a group through our factory halls in order to let you see the range of services and the competence of Porsche Classic for yourself.
