Regional Training Academy in Singapore
The Regional Training Academy, organised by Porsche Asia Pacific, was held over three days from 20 - 22 July 2005, happening at the premises of the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Hotel on the sunny island of Singapore.
Our 17 participants consisted mainly of marketing and sales trainers from 12 Porsche importers (for Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand) around the Asia Pacific region. Participants from SQ Centre (Porsche Asia Pacific’s training agency) and ICLP (Porsche Asia Pacific’s marketing agency) were also present.
With the expertise of trainers from Porsche AG, Mr. Carsten Balmes and Mr. Daniel Schmollinger, they were among the first in the region to get acquainted with and learn more about the new products for Model Year 2006, including the all-new Cayman S and the new Porsche Design Driver’s Selection. Ms. Juliane Rexer, representing Porsche AG’s Ordering department, was also present to share with all participants about the order processing procedures.
In addition, the participants were also introduced to new marketing tools. They were also given more details on the future of the Porsche website. The training programme also incorporated a group work session, where every participant had the opportunity to interact with one another while working on their respective exercises. A quiz, in the form of a Jeopardy game, specifically on the Cayman S livened up the programme – which, from the feedback, was extremely well-received by the participants.
As always, a recreational programme was held on the evening of the second day where the participants played beach volleyball and enjoyed Italian cuisine, all on the beachfront of Sentosa – a famous tourist spot in Singapore.
Equipped with the latest knowledge, the participants will go back to their respective markets and conduct in-house training to all sales and marketing personnel, with the aim of provide the best marketing and sales experience to all their customers.
