You might not always need to enter offroad terrain, but if you do you will have to get back out of it.
The Offroad training courses offered by the Porsche Sport Driving School inform you about the dangers of offroad driving and instruct you on how to master them safely. And they're also an adventure in their own right.
The Pre-Level training examines the basics of offroad driving. While you take the wheel, professionals explain how to use all-wheel drive, reduction gears and differential locks effectively. During the Precision training, a second day of driving offers you the opportunity to put the offroad capabilities of the Cayenne to the acid test. And to test your own as well.
You can use your own Cayenne in any of the Offroad training courses, or hire one from us. Further information on our hire vehicles is available here.
For the Offroad training courses in Leipzig, we additionally provide a Porsche 911 Carrera, Cayman S or Boxster S for you to explore on the FIA-certified running-in and testing track within a guided driving event.

| Learning goals: | Anyone travelling off-road in their car ought to know what they are doing. Or at least have a shovel in the back. Offroad Pre-Level training is aimed at those participants who have little or no previous knowledge of off-road driving. |
| Pre-Level is a one-day driving safety course teaching participants how to drive correctly and safely in off-road conditions. Of course, you’ll also get to experience the fun side of driving. | |
| First of all the basics are explained, such as the optimum seat position or correct vision control on and off-road, as well as how to assess different types of terrain. Another section deals with estimating braking distances and emergency braking on loose terrain. | |
| Leave the tarmac behind and get to know the capability of an offroad vehicle, gradually exploring its full potential – something that beginners are not always confident enough to do. We take you to selected off-road training areas to explain how the electronic and mechanical driving aids work and how to use these correctly under specific conditions. Professionals explain the effective use of allwheel drive, low-range gearing and differential locks. | |
| Learn how to use wheel articulation and master the art of driving through rivers, handling ascents and lateral gradients of up to 35°. | |
| In short: combine useful training with an experience you will remember for a long time to come. | |
| For the Offroad training course in Leipzig, we will also provide you with a Porsche 911, Cayman or Boxster, which you can get to know on the FIA-compliant Leipzig test track during your supervised driving sessions. |
