Porsche expands into IndiaPorsche Centre New Delhi facility opening

New Delhi. Porsche Middle East and Africa is proud to announce the official launch of the first Porsche facility in India, in the state of the art Porsche Centre New Delhi. This highly advanced facility is located in a prime location in the city, and comprises a showroom and service centre complying with Porsche’s guidelines.

Speaking at the event, Mohamed Rahman, After Sales Manager of Porsche Middle East and Africa and Managing Director of Porsche India as of January 2007, said: “It is highly rewarding to see this world class facility and witness the vast progress achieved to date. This state of the art Porsche Centre leaves us in full confidence of our partner’s ability to represent the Porsche brand in India. Sales of our cars throughout the world and certainly in the region are above expectations, a trend we definitely expect to strongly continue within the Indian market.”

Ashish Chordia, Chief Executive Officer of Shreyans Motors Private Limited, Porsche India, stressed the significance of opening the first Porsche Centre in India: “Frantic activity in the past months has resulted in great accomplishments. Located in the heart of the upcoming  motoring district, 15 kilometres from Connaught Place (Heart of New Delhi), Porsche Centre New Delhi covers a total area of 9354 square foot and comprises a workshop area (6290 sq ft) and a showroom (3163 sq ft) providing sales consultancy through a sales team committed to the brand and customer requirements. The workshop in turn employs dedicated Porsche trained technicians and in conjunction with the latest diagnostic equipment will ensure total customer satisfaction. Porsche Centre India is also connected to the worldwide parts supply chain and technical support centres in order to serve all Indian Porsche customers with the service level they expect.
 
Announcing the official opening of Porsche Centre New Delhi, lays the foundation for a true sports car experience in India like no other. This facility will in future showcase the Porsche model range starting with our sports car the Boxster S all the way through to the iconic 911 Turbo and the complete derivates of the Cayenne SUV family. It also marks the beginning of the development of the Indian market and the establishment of additional Porsche Centres across the country.

Mohamed Rahman with his wealth of over 20 years of Porsche experience will be heading the further growth of Porsche in India for a limited period and will assist in developing a long term strategy for this promising market.
