Doha. Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, Porsche’s President and Chief Executive Officer, visited Doha for the official inauguration of the new facilities of Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l, the importer of Porsche cars in Qatar. He was accompanied in his visit by Porsche AG spokesperson and Director Corporate Communications, Anton Hunger, in addition to Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa, and Mohamed Rahman, Regional After Sales Manager.
Dr. Wiedeking’s visit reflects the gratitude and appreciation Porsche holds to the enormous effort and investments put by “Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l” in a record time of no more than six months, since its appointment as the new importer of Porsche cars in Qatar. Accompanied by Salman Jassem Al Darwish, Chairman of Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l, in addition to partners Mohammad Jassem Al Darwish, Vice President, and Abdallah Jassem Al Darwish, Member of the Board, Dr. Wiedeking officially announced the inauguration of Porsche Centre Doha. It includes a showroom and management offices on Salwa road, and a Service and Spare Parts Centre in the Industrial area. The Opening ceremony was also attended by engineer Nabil Al-Saadani, Managing Director of the company, in addition to all the managers and members of staff in Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l.
Dr. Wiedeking praised the effort employed by Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l in building the showroom and service centre, and equipping them with state of the art facilities adhering to Porsche’s strict corporate identity guidelines. This will enable Porsche’s exquisite customers to enjoy superior service standards presented to them by highly trained and experienced teams of specialists in the fields of management, sales and after sales service. The management of Al Boraq Automobiles worked in close coordination with Porsche’s regional office to ensure employees are selected from a variety of nationalities all united by deep experience and a great devotion to the Porsche brand.
Meanwhile, plans are already in progress for the construction of a permanent showroom and Service Centre, whose standards reflect once again the ambitions of Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l in promoting the sales and after sales standards it presents to its customers.
Dr. Wiedeking’s tour to the Middle East reflects the importance of the region to Porsche AG; as does its selection of the Middle East (Dubai specifically) for the first time in the company’s history, to stage an international press launch of a new model, the Cayenne Turbo S. This car will be available in the Al Boraq Automobiles Co. w.l.l showroom starting next month.
