Porsche Middle East (PME) has announced that all new Porsche vehicles purchased from official Porsche dealerships in the region as of June 1st, 2004 will be delivered to customers with a comprehensive road assistance package. This programme, valid throughout the 2 year warranty period, offers security and backup for drivers near or far from home in case of immobilisation or break down.
The Porsche Assistance package covers the GCC and Levant countries as well as Yemen. PME is the first automotive company in the region to offer such a comprehensive package and at no additional cost to customers, available 365 days a year and 24 hours a day.
Said Mark Bishop, Porsche Middle East’s managing director based in Dubai, “The introduction of Porsche Assistance is a very comprehensive service designed to put our customers’ minds at rest every day of the year. This is yet one more way of ensuring that Porsche owners enjoy the maximum mobility.”
The system is quite simple. When new cars are delivered, owners are provided with a card which lists the contact number to call in each country in case of a problem. Thereafter, recovery and assistance is only a phone call away. Porsche Assistance will then organize and pay for transporting the car to the nearest Porsche Service Centre and arrange for onward transport for the driver and passengers. Should the driver experience a breakdown far from home, all logistical arrangements to get him or her back on schedule including hotel bookings, air travel, car hire and transportation of the repaired Porsche back home are handled by Porsche Assistance.
The moral? Don’t leave home without your Porsche.
