Team GT3, representing Dubai, recently topped Porsche Middle East and Africa’s annual “Challenge Cup,” aimed at enhancing product knowledge amongst Porsche Centre staff in the region. The final round of the challenge was held at the Marriott Hotel in Dubai, where Team GT3 and Team Carrera from Dubai, and Team 1 from Abu Dhabi, had to go through five final tests to assess their understanding of the different products, parts ordering, knowledge of Porsche’s intranet and extranet sites, presentation skills, and Quick Fire – ten questions that needed answering within one minute.
Twenty eight teams from across the Middle East and Africa, representing the 12 Porsche Centres in the region, took part in the challenge which ran over a period of six months and included five rounds. According to Mark Bishop, Dubai-based managing director of Porsche Middle East, the program proved to be very successful. “The Challenge Cup encouraged better understanding of the brand and also managed to improve team spirit internally within the staff of the region,” said Bishop.
The winning team was awarded with tickets to the Carrera Cup in Amsterdam, which will be held in September of this year.
