Porsche Middle East’s Marketing Manager Stefan Ruschke, homeward bound; Amaury La Fonta to take his placeFebruary 16, 2004
Dubai – Porsche Middle East’s (PME) managing director, Mark Bishop, announced this week that Stefan Ruschke, PME’s marketing manager of five years, is to return to Porsche headquarters in Stuttgart Germany later this month to take up the position of general manager sales and marketing training, Porsche AG.
Ruschke is looking forward to new challenges ahead after having successfully contributed to the start up operations for Porsche in the Middle East along with Mark Bishop and a small but highly committed team since 1999.
Said Ruschke, “My time in the Middle East has been extraordinary. When we first founded PME there were a lot of roads to cover, namely further establishing relationships with our partners towards a strong future and at the same time paving the way for the launch of the Cayenne.“
“In fact, PME has become the fifth largest subsidiary for Porsche worldwide. I am proud to have been a part of it all.” said Ruschke at a farewell luncheon hosted in Dubai on Monday February 16th.
Taking his place will be Mr. Amaury La Fonta who has himself been a marketing professional with Porsche in Europe for over fourteen years, most recently in Stuttgart as the area manager for sales supporting the Porsche subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region, Australia and Japan.
Amaury, a French citizen, is looking forward to joining the dynamic team at Porsche Middle East’s offices in the Airport Free Zone.
“Life, after all,” he says, “Can never be anything but rewarding and exciting behind the wheel of a Porsche. The drive in the Middle East, for sure, is going to be a great one.” You’ll spot him, therefore, on the roads of the UAE in his Porsche from now on.
