The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East has quickly established itself as the most professional one-make series on the busy regional motor racing calendar. It is based on the highly successful Porsche formula for one-make series racing, and gives the Arab world’s most promising circuit racing drivers an ideal opportunity to further their international experience.
Launched in December 2009, the championship is currently enjoying its third season, once again giving a world competitive debut to the latest version of the Porsche GT3 Cup car.
The series brings 12 rounds of brilliant action shared between Dubai Autodrome, Yas Marina Circuit in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain International Circuit and Reem International Circuit outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The “arrive and drive” nature of championship is especially attractive for drivers whose daily routines means they have limited time to devote to their passion for motor racing.
They can head straight from the office to the circuit, swap their kandura or business suit for race overalls and helmet, step into a perfectly prepared Porsche GT3 Cup car, and race.
