This tour takes you to some of Germany’s most beautiful and historical regions. A very memorable experience, especially with the right travelling companion. After arrival in Ludwigsburg, familiarise yourself with the most important element of the tour: your Porsche. Explore the vehicle’s driving dynamics, acceleration and precision along the motorway to Munich – the ‘cosmopolitan city with a heart’.
You will stay at The Charles Hotel – right next to the Old Botanical Garden. Situated in the heart of Munich, this elegant establishment is the ideal base from which to explore the Bavarian capital.
After lunch, you can spend the afternoon strolling around the Viktualienmarkt food market, whiling away the hours in the English Garden or visiting one of the many historical buildings in the Bavarian capital. In the evening, relax over dinner at a typical Bavarian restaurant.
The first half of the day is a highlight for anyone interested in culture: the chance to discover some of Munich’s many beautiful attractions on a guided tour.
Stop off at a typical Bavarian restaurant to sample some of the region’s specialities. In the afternoon, you have some free time before an exclusive dinner in the city centre.
On day three, the focus is once again on your driving pleasure. Set off along the winding roads through the Bavarian lakeland scenery to Murnau on Lake Staffelsee, where you break for lunch and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains.
Continue along the German Alpine Road, which takes you past a number of mountain lakes and quaint villages with a special charm all of their own, as well as a host of magnificent castles and palaces. One of these is the legendary fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig II, which you can explore as part of a guided tour before checking in at the Berghotel Schlossanger Alp. Soak up the idyllic atmosphere of this charming mountain hotel – and relax over a leisurely dinner in the evening.
Drive through the Allgäu towards the mighty Alps, heralded by the sight of the Hochtannberg Pass at a height of 1,679 metres. Savour the impressive scenery and charming route on the way. Break for lunch in Austria, before heading to your destination for the night: the Riva Hotel in Constance.
This leg of the tour offers a mix of country roads and fast stretches of motorway. In other words: pure enjoyment behind the wheel. Travel through the Black Forest, stopping for lunch at the famous Traube Tonbach where you will be treated to some delicious cuisine prepared especially for you by head chef Henry Oskar Fried. Afterwards, head off along the spectacular Black Forest Ridgeway to your destination for the night, the exclusive Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden. You will be greeted with a champagne reception, followed by dinner.
The highlight on the sixth day is Heidelberg. Not to mention the journey there along the twisting roads in a Porsche. After stopping for lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the town including a visit to the romantic castle ruins. You are free to spend the rest of the day as you please – browsing the shops or strolling around the winding lanes of the old town. Visit the Kulturbrauerei brewery for a guided tour and a dinner of regional specialities, before spending the night at the Heidelberg Suites boutique hotel.
The last day has more culinary highlights in store as well as plenty of enjoyment behind the wheel. The route continues through the picturesque Neckar Valley and along the Swabian Wine Route to the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. After breaking for lunch at the Reichsküchenmeister restaurant, it’s time to set off on the return journey to Ludwigsburg – and savour every mile along the way before individual departure.
