Porsche Tour of Andalusia

A fling with flamenco.
Combined with a passion for Porsche.

Tour highlights

  • The spectacular drive through the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park
  • Drive through the ‘white villages’ of Andalusia
  • A visit to the Alhambra and Mezquita

Andalusia is one of the most sought after destinations in the world due to its mild climate, Mediterranean vegetation and the beautiful sandy beaches along its magnificent shoreline. It also boasts impressive mountain scenery and picturesque villages that give you a genuine sense of the Spanish culture and way of life. But the best thing about this region is the never-ending mountain roads, and the twists and turns in-between. The ideal place to spend a few exhilarating days behind the wheel of a Porsche.

What awaits you is driving pleasure galore, as you pass almond trees, olive groves and cactus fields. In addition to the scenic attractions, there are also plenty of places to visit and explore away from the main roads: typical white villages (pueblos blancos), for instance, and historical cities such as Seville and Córdoba with their fantastic fusion of Moorish and Spanish culture. You’ll also visit the Alhambra, a World Cultural Heritage site since 1984.

Day 1

Individual travel to Málaga Airport where you will be greeted and driven by limousine to the Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf & Spa. Opened in 2008, it offers a breathtaking range of facilities, setting a new benchmark in Spain’s luxury hotel sector. Wind down at the hotel spa or simply sit back and enjoy the magnificent views of the Costa del Sol stretching as far as Gibraltar. In the evening, relax over a sumptuous dinner in preparation for the day ahead.

Day 2

Your first day in a Porsche takes you from the Costa del Sol heading east. You then pass through the Torrox hills towards the hinterland. What awaits you there is plenty of enjoyment at the wheel, of course. The winding mountain roads provide the ideal opportunity to explore the driving dynamics of your Porsche. Stop for lunch at a small Spanish restaurant – in fine weather you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the valley below from the terrace.

Featuring numerous twists and turns, the route then takes you to the well-known city of Granada. The Hospes Palacio de los Patos Hotel combines both modern and traditional elements. In the evening, you can relax and share your experiences over dinner at a restaurant close to the hotel.

Day 3

The following day starts off straight away with a highlight – the opportunity to drive your Porsche to the site of the famous Alhambra. On a guided tour of the gardens and Nasrid palaces, you will learn all about the history and features of this impressive ensemble. After stopping off for a typical regional lunch close to the Alhambra, it’s time to visit another Andalusian highlight: Córdoba. Spend the night at the modern AC Hotel Córdoba Palacio.

In the evening, take a stroll past the famous Mezquita, before relaxing over dinner at one of the patios for which Córdoba is renowned. Afterwards, you can enjoy a leisurely walk back to the hotel or experience the hustle and bustle of the city at night.

Day 4

Spend the morning sightseeing with a guided tour of the Mezquita. The dimensions of this impressive building are enormous: covering more than 24,000 m2, it comprises 856 ornate pillars and reflects Córdoba’s long and colourful history.

After lunch, you set off again in your Porsche heading southwest. Later in the afternoon, you arrive in the Andalusian capital Seville where you check in at the extensively refurbished Alfonso XIII Hotel. Situated in the heart of the city, the hotel reflects Spain’s Arabic heritage in its architecture and design. Since 1928, it has been a characteristic feature of the city and a symbol of the Moorish influence on the region. The outdoor pool and gardens are the perfect place to relax and take a refreshing dip in the warm Andalusian sunshine.

Day 5

Today’s leg of the tour offers further enjoyment at the wheel as you set off on the drive along a number of twists and turns to the spectacular Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The numerous, smaller mountain ranges on your way to Ronda with their ever-changing scenery and stretches of road are perfect for a Porsche driving experience. They also afford stunning views of attractions such as the Rock of Gibraltar.

Ronda is renowned as the home of Spain’s oldest bullfighting ring and for its extraordinary position: the Moorish-style old quarter lies on a rocky plateau that plunges steeply on all sides and is separated from the more modern part of the town by an approximately 100 metre deep gorge. Stop for lunch nearby before setting off through the Sierra de Grazalema back to Seville. You then have the option of spending the rest of the evening watching a wonderful flamenco show.

Day 6

In the morning, you have the option of taking a stroll around the city of Seville. Some of its most famous buildings include the imposing cathedral, the Giralda – an impressive tower that stands 97.5 metres high and dates back to the 12th century and, not least, the Alcazar Palace. Built in 913, it was used as a fortified residence by a number of royal families. You’ll then drive along the extremely winding country roads up to an altitude of 1,200 metres. After lunch, the route continues through the typical white villages, passing well-known places such as Casares and Gaucín. These have attracted a number of international artists because of their special light, warm colours and hills sloping gently down to the sea.

[+]

Day 7

A leisurely breakfast at the hotel, followed by the transfer to Málaga Airport by limousine for individual departure. As you bid farewell to the south of Spain, you’ll take with you a wealth of marvellous memories that you will treasure for a long time to come.

Naturally, you can choose to extend your stay at the Finca Cortesin Hotel or arrive at the hotel earlier.
