Protection and beauty: The classic vehicle has it even better now than when it was brand new. Today, the bodyshell gets treated to a cathodic dip painting bath(KTL). The KTL ensures that the primer is evenly applied, even to the most remote cavity. Epoxy resin dissolved in water produces a conductive paint. When an anode is immersed in the bath, the bodyshell acts as a cathode generating a direct current. This causes paint particles to adhere evenly and securely to the body and to all cavities, providing a high degree of corrosion protection. The complete paint build-up in the original colour now begins.
