"In my position as Logistics Planner, I'm responsible for the development and implementation of the in-house logistics processes. The material streams from the receipt of the individual components to the shipping of the completed engines are continuously being optimised by our team and adapted to meet future requirements.

The engine is the heart of each and every Porsche. We always focus on quality and the individual wishes of the customer. A lot of flexibility is required during production as every Porsche engine is different. Even still, all of our Sports Car engines are manufactured on the same assembly line.

For the Motor Logistics staff, this means that almost a thousand different motor components have to be provided just in time at the respective installation location – this is an ongoing challenge because we no longer have a warehouse.

I am proud to be working at Porsche. It is almost impossible to find another product that causes such enthusiasm. This is also reflected in our daily work. We're all moving in the same direction. Everything is thought through and discussed within the team. This is why our implementation process is really fast, I have never experienced this before in another company.

And the best part about my job is that I get to see the results of my work right on the spot."
