With the commissioning of the new state-of-the-art and extremely environmentally friendly paint shop in 2011, Porsche set an additional milestone in the modernisation of the main plant in Zuffenhausen.

Work on the extension to the Research & Development Centre in Weissach also started in 2011. Porsche is investing about €150 million in a new ultra-modern design studio, a high-tech wind tunnel and an electronics integration centre. The extension is expected to be completed by 2014.

Work on the plant extension at our Porsche Leipzig GmbH is running at full speed: one of the most modern plants in the world is currently being extended to create a fully functional production location that will include a bodyshop and a paint shop. Starting in 2013, the 5. Porsche model is due to roll off the line along with the Cayenne and the Panamera.
