As part of its corporate strategy for 2018, Porsche wants to double its vehicle sales and increase its presence in the individual markets. This growth strategy also envisages increasing the workforce by 50 % from its present level of 14,000 worldwide.

In the future, there will be a increased need for qualified specialists at the production locations in Stuttgart and Leipzig, and especially at the Porsche Research & Development Centre in Weissach.

A large number of these new employees are expected to join the company in the coming years. Porsche recruited over 1,000 new employees in 2011.
