The world's latest and arguably most spectacular motorsports venue, Yas Marina Circuit will welcome the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup as part of the first Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Yas Marina Circuit will thus partner with the international one-make-championship to round off the Formula 1™ race weekend and increase the motor sports experience for spectators.

A natural island lying to the east of Abu Dhabi, Yas Island is being developed by Aldar Properties into the leading entertainment venue for the Emirate. At the heart is Yas Marina Circuit, home to the inaugural Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In addition, Yas Island will feature the Warner Bros.™ theme park, a water park, The Yas Hotel, a collection of international branded hotels, residential accommodation, two golf courses, several marinas, The Yas Yacht club, and 300,000 square metres of retail space.

With easy access from land, air, and sea, Yas Marina Circuit will offer spectators, sponsors, and motorsports partners an incomparable experience. Approximately 50,000 spectators can be hosted in grandstands around the 5.5 km Formula 1™ track. Alternatively, the circuit can operate as two independent, fully functioning tracks. Supplementary facilities will include the YMC Raceway, the YMC Driving Academy, and the Karting Centre.

Yas Marina Circuit is packed with unique and innovative features: - every grandstand seat will be covered - a first for any Formula 1™ circuit; The Yas Hotel straddles the track allowing guests to experience the sensation of race cars passing underneath; cars exiting the pit lane re-enter the circuit via a tunnel; and drivers who miss their breaking point at the end of the longest straight in Formula 1™ will traverse a run-off area beneath the West grandstand.
