All the results of the individual classification rounds are taken into account for the rankings at the end of the season. There shall be no void results. The driver named in the entry must take part in at least 6 classification rounds in order to be included in the final classification for the year. The driver with the highest total number of points after all classification rounds in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2013 will be awarded the title: Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2013 Champion.
The team ranking is independent of the driver ranking. The points of two vehicles entered under the same licence of an entrant are added together for the team ranking. Where there are more than two vehicles per entrant licence, the results of the two best drivers are counted. Team ranking points are awarded according to the same points system as is used for the driver ranking.
For the individual classification rounds the following points according to the order in which they are placed in accordance with the rules for driver and/or team rankings shall be awarded:
1st place: 20, 2nd place: 18, 3rd place: 16, 14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 points
The special “Rookie of the Year” classification is separate from the driver and team classification. A Rookie is a driver contesting his first season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, and who in all previous years together has not participated in more than 5 rounds of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Drivers who participate in at least 6 rounds per season score points. The limiting age for the participation at the Rookie classification amounts to 28 years.
The driver who has achieved the largest number of fastest race laps in all classification rounds will receive a prize. In the case of a tie, the decision is made on the basis of the best results. The final result of the “Majority of fastest laps” classification is rewarded as follows:
The driver with the greatest number of fastest race laps over the course of the season receives wristwatch.
