The 2009 race calendar comprises 13 championship rounds within 11 racing weekends. The Bahrain Grand Prix in Sakhir opens the season. Two classification rounds will take place there. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup celebrates its premiere in the United Arab Emirates on the Persian Gulf with two races at the 2009 season final in Abu Dhabi.

For each event practice sessions of 30 to 45 minutes and a qualifying of 30 to 45 minutes are planned. The starting grid for the classification rounds depends on the result of the qualifying.

The races run over a distance of approx. 70 km. In each case this distance is converted into a certain number of laps and indicated for each event.

The classification rounds are started by standing start with staggered starting line-up (GP start).
