The 41st AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix will take place at the Nuerburgring from 9 - 11 August 2013. In keeping with tradition, Porsche will be taking part once again this year – represented by Porsche Classic on a 14,000 m² area in the immediate vicinity of the race track – with the spotlight on the Porsche 911.
Since its presentation at the Frankfurt IAA Motor Show in 1963, the 911 model line has undergone a continuous evolution without diluting the unique character of the 911. Each generation has written its very own success story. Porsche is now looking to the future of this Sports Car icon with the seventh generation of the 911.
To celebrate 50 years of Porsche 911, Porsche Classic will not only be presenting some special models from the museum and restoration examples from the Classic workshop in the exhibition tent at the AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix, but also holding an anniversary parade. Taking place on Saturday 10 August 2013, this lap of honour on the Grand Prix circuit will feature 50 vehicles showcasing the development of the 911 from the 901 all the way up to the current 991. Prerequisite for participation in the 911 parade is the exclusive Porsche VIP package.
Experts from Porsche Classic will be on hand in the Porsche Classic exhibition tent to offer advice on Genuine Parts, technical literature or restoring your vehicle. Also on site: employees from Porsche Club Coordination, Porsche Exclusive & Tequipment, Porsche Germany and the Porsche Museum. And of course no Porsche event would be complete without the Event Truck of Porsche Driver's Selection.
The hub of the exhibition will this year again be the exclusive Porsche VIP hospitality area, which is open to all holders of the Porsche VIP package and comprises a private grandstand. The package includes the following services for the three days of the event:
