Perhaps, however, we are also a model for Germany because we think not only at our research centre, but everywhere. The idea of building the Carrera GT, for example, came straight from the racetrack. We produced it in our Leipzig plant. By hand. In Leipzig we built an assembly hall and a training shop – and created hundreds of new jobs. The Panamera sports coupé will also be produced there. Production points are also viewpoints. Made in Germany is not a sentimental daydream for us, but a tough competitive factor. 

All the engines come from Zuffenhausen. That’s an affaire de coeur. Here too, at our headquarters where series production began in 1950 and where today more than 34,000 new sports cars are built per year, ongoing investments are made. The production line is being extended, a new paint shop built. In the coming years, we will invest 600 million euro to make everything still better in Weissach, Zuffenhausen, Ludwigsburg and Bietigheim.
